Here are Andrew thoughts on Mark's performance at our client (actual name kept out for confidentiality I'll be addressing Andrew's concerns about the training this week in a separate email. Netapp will be providing some of what he thinks he's lacking in their training.


(this part was sent by our client to my project manager)Mark has done a superb job with the installation and configuration services so far. He has been a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with him on future projects with Sirius (like VMWare, etc) should they materialize. As you mentioned, we lost nearly 3 days of configuration and knowledge transfer time that was outside of Mark’s control, so I’m certain that we have lost some significant value in his services. As a follow up, Mark has gone out of his way to work extended hours to facilitate the minimum requirements that we need for our scheduled training this week. I’m certain that if we had the full time to work together, I would bring much more to the class and be much more confident in the management of our NetApp.

You can never be too safe!!

About 3.5 years ago we bought a small safe. When we arrived home we did not open the safe or put anything in it. We stored it somewhere. After 2.5-3 years of not using it I returned it to the place where we bought it in the box and with the receipt. I did not communicate that with the spouse. Not one word had ever been said about the safe except for a couple of times I had mentioned returning it until yesterday. I received a phone call from my lovely wife asking where it was. I had mentioned to her that I returned it. That was apparently unacceptable, disrespectful and rude. Asking me where she wanted to store these things, I responded by saying "Put them in the safety deposit box that we pay for every year."

We will be getting another safe that we may or may not use.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (for political correctness)

It has been a while since I posted to this blog. This blog is dedicated to my friend, and fellow oppressed husband, Lucas in San Diego.

Over the weekend there was a string of emails between my lovely wife and her friend in San Diego, who also happens to be the wife of Lucas. The emails were in reference to Lucas after a hard days work of watching the children was sitting around doing nothing but watching sports on TV - wooooahhh-maann.

Lucas, I support you, and you are correct. We should unite and create a joint blog about these issues.

I will admit that there is always room from improvement, however we do our fair share of tasks. I only watch 4 full sporting events on TV (the 4 majors of golf) . If I happen to catch a few more during the year, I consider myself lucky. More power to those who want to watch sports on TV - woooaaaahhh-maann

Just a few minutes ago my daughter asked my wife to play Monopoly. My wife's reply, "No. I am doing nothing." Far be it from me to talk to her about doing nothing - woooaaahhh-maann

Then there is the issue of sleep and rest. My wife gets frustrated with me for napping. She does not feel she can take the time to nap. So it is her choice to not nap. Her position is who will get the stuff done. My position is either one of us will get it done - woooahhh-maann

There is a solution. Compromise
